The Rebelettes hit the Isle of Bute Feis

The Rebelettes on tour at the WIDA Isle of Bute Feis 2026

We took a selection of our dancers to the WIDA Isle of Bute feis for a long weekend and a little dancing. We arrived on Friday night and enjoyed the wonderful facilities on the island before concentrating on the competition on the Saturday.

An early start on Saturday saw our beginner dancers Elizabeth, Shelia, Zoe, Julia and Jessica rise to the occasion with some amazing dancing. Elizabeth performed like the dancer we always knew she was and won every competition she was entered into to now become a Primary dancer. Up next was Zoe who won her beginner grade competitions and who now is also dancing Primary.

Next up was our slightly older dancers Julia & Jessica. Both girls dancing their hearts out in what were tough competitions. Julia won her first ever Premiership Championship and several of her grade dances and is now dancing Intermediate in her Reel. Jessica danced like the 'firecracker' she is becoming in a combine age group with adults and placed a very respectful second place in 2 of her grades against more experienced dancers.

And then there was Phoebe... Dancing in the Open grades and championship, Phoebe won her Heavy Jig & Hornpipe grades and then danced in the championship against excellent competitors to finish third overall. Not bad for a semi-retired World Champ.

Our coaching staff are immensely proud of the Rebelettes and what they have achieved in what was their first ever over-night stay feis... We couldn't have asked for more.
